Anne B Lilly is an Artist/Painter. Her background in environmental science and horticulture influence many of the themes she paints. Anne lives and works in Hendersonville, NC.

Her creative inspiration comes from nature, microscopic life forms of algae, fungi, bacteria and Lichens.

Anne paints using mixed media and bright colors to enhance and celebrate the important role these organisms play in the balance of nature and society. Anne’s imagery veers away from realism towards abstraction as a playful way to enter into the co-creative dance between Creator and her own creativity.

Believing that nature holds wisdom that teaches us new ways to live as humans beings, Anne aims to bring awareness to the hidden beauty of the smallest of life forms that can combine to create symbiotic lichen communities; a model for how humanity could transform itself into a more mutually beneficial, peaceful and inclusive society.
